Summer is finally upon us! It’s the perfect time for cookouts, outdoor concerts and summer camp! We all have fond memories of camp which is why we jumped at the chance to partner with Youth Rally! This June we will be donating 15% of all purchases to help make summer dreams come true.
The Youth Rally is a community for adolescents with bowel and bladder diseases including Crohn’s, Colitis, Bladder Exstrophy, Hirschsprung’s, and Spina Bifida. Young people with diagnoses like these often feel alienated because they do not know anyone who shares their medical or emotional experiences.
Young people learn independence, gain confidence, and find the understanding and the support they need through our annual summer camp, which takes place at a different college campus every year. The emotional connections and relationships formed in our community are so important to its members that returning campers and counselors refer to the Rally not as a ”summer camp,” but instead as their ”Rally Family”
The 2013 Youth Rally will take place at the University of Washington in Seattle on July 15th through July 20th.
This will be the first time the Rally has visited Seattle and we are excited to bring campers to the Pacific Northwest! Known for music, a strong connection to nature, and having a high quality of life, we hope Seattle will become a regular home to the Rally.
In addition to sessions covering a range of topics from self esteem to proper bowel and bladder management and care, the Rally will visit the Experience Music Project (EMP), spend a day at iconic Green Lake, and incorporate Seattle’s unique culture and geographic location into free time activities.
